We recommend the following:

  • Consume probiotics like yogurt and kefir.
  • Eat foods high in fiber (vegetables) in your three main meals.
  • Consume vitamins that help your immune system.
  • Vitamins such as A, C, D, and Zinc have been found to have a beneficial effect in the correct doses.
  • Stay well hydrated (two liters of fluids per day).
  • Consume one or two servings of fruit per day along with legumes and whole grains.
  • Reduce your consumption of alcohol and processed foods.
  • Eat four to six meals a day.
  • Consume nuts, seeds, and extra virgin olive oil. Avoid animal source fats (lard or butter).
  • Reduce the consumption of carbohydrates (flour), especially those of slow absorption.
  • Reduce salt and sugar consumption.
  • Enjoy each meal, eat slowly, savor each food.

Although there is no evidence that the virus can be transmitted through food, follow these prevention measures:

  • Cook food properly.
  • Keep kitchen surfaces clean and disinfected, as well as utensils.
  • Perform hand hygiene on an ongoing basis.

Take care of your mental health and try not to stress yourself, exercise three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes, and sleep eight hours, all this will help keep your immune system healthy.
