  The term STROKE is also known as cerebrovascular accident and occurs when there is bleeding in the brain or when its blood flow is blocked.<\/p>\n

  After a few minutes the neurons begin to die, so it is very important that if you think someone is suffering from a STROKE, you act immediately!<\/p>\n

  Here are some of the notorious symptoms to detect a STROKE, pay attention:<\/p>\n

  • Strange behavior, as if they were out of their mind or under the influence of alcohol without having consumed it.<\/li>\n
  • Difficulty gesturing and speaking.<\/li>\n
  • Loss of muscle tone or fainting.<\/li>\n
  • Intense headache.<\/li>\n
  • Confusion.<\/li>\n
  • Lack of coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    FAST test<\/h2>\n

    FAST (face, arms, speech, time) test helps to observe and act on warning signs.<\/p>\n

    • Face<\/b>.When you tell them to smile, does the person’s face fall to one side?<\/li>\n
    • Arms.<\/b>When asking them to raise their arms, is one lower?<\/li>\n
    • Speech<\/b>.When speaking, can the person repeat a simple sentence? Do they babble or is it difficult to understand them?<\/li>\n

      What NOT to do in case of STROKE?<\/h2>\n

      Now that you know what to do in the event of a STROKE, we tell you the actions that you should AVOID.<\/p>\n

      \n
      • Stay at all times, do not leave them alone.<\/li>\n
      • Do not offer water or food.<\/li>\n
      • Remember that they are in crisis, do not ask them to try to move or tell you how they feel unless it is to perform the FAST test.<\/li>\n
      • Do not give them any medication for any reason.<\/li>\n
      • If they have a seizure, do not try to hold them, however, be careful that they do not get hurt.<\/li>\n
      • Keep calm, do not try to transfer them to the emergency room by yourself, wait for help.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
