Directions for donating blood:<\/b><\/p>\n

• Be between 18 and 65 years old.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Minimum weight 50 Kg.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Short fast of two hours.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Be completely healthy the day you donate.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Not having suffered from Hepatitis type B or C, HIV-AIDS, Syphilis, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Not having had multiple sexual partners.<\/span><\/li>\n
• Not having received an organ transplant.<\/span><\/li>\n

  COVID-19 measures<\/h2>

  Since the beginning of the pandemic, at ABC Medical Center we have implemented strict security measures with totally isolated and separate areas for the care of patients with COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

  Based on the National Center for Blood Transfusion (<\/span>Centro Nacional de la Transfusi\u00f3n Sangu\u00ednea<\/span><\/i>, CNTS) indications supported by the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19), please consider the following:<\/span><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Avoid donating if you have respiratory infection symptoms or had them in the last two weeks.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • If possible, go to the Blood Bank alone (to avoid crowds).<\/span><\/li>\n
  • After your donation, inform the Blood Bank if you are diagnosed as a probable or suspected coronavirus case within 45 days after donating.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • You can only be a candidate to donate if:<\/span><\/li>\n
  • You do not have symptoms and have not been in contact with a person considered a probable or suspected COVID-19 case or have had direct contact with their respiratory secretions or body fluids.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • You traveled to areas WITHOUT recent local transmission and have no symptoms.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • If you have traveled to areas with recent transmission, had symptoms or contact with a suspected or probable COVID-19 cases, had symptoms and ruled out coronavirus infection, the doctor will indicate the waiting period to be able to donate once you have fully recovered and completed your therapy (from 30 to 90 days, depending on the case).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
