It refers to the agreement or permission accompanied by complete information about the nature, risks, and alternatives of a medical procedure or treatment before the doctor or other health professional starts. So, for your Admission, we will ask you to sign a general informed consent in which it is specified that you received information regarding your hospitalization and procedure and that the risks, benefits, side effects, and alternatives derived from it were explained to you.[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"row no-gutters mb-5 module_derechos_del_paciente\">   <div class=\"col-12 col-md d-flex flex-column justify-content-between\">      <div class=\"row no-gutters\">          <div class=\"col-12\">              <h3 id=\"derechos\">Patient rights<span><\/span><\/h3>          <\/div>      <\/div>\n<ol>\n<li>Receive proper medical care.<\/li>\n<li>Receive humane and respectful treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Receive sufficient, clear, timely, and truthful information.<\/li>\n<li>Decide freely about their care.<\/li>\n<li>Grant or not their validly informed consent.<\/li>\n<li>Be treated with confidentiality.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to obtain a second opinion.<\/li>\n<li>Receive medical attention in an emergency.<\/li>\n<li>Have a medical record.<\/li>\n<li>Be heard when they are dissatisfied with the medical care received.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>   <\/div>   <div class=\"col-12 col-lg-6 mt-4 mt-lg-0 pl-lg-4\">      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/centromedicoabc.com\/manual-del-paciente\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/img-enfermera-abrazando-abuelita.jpg\">   <\/div><\/div><div class=\"row no-gutters module_titulo_bloque\"> <div class=\"col-12\">  <h3 id=\"responsabilidad\">Patient\u2019s responsibility<span><\/span><\/h3> <\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The patient must:\n<ul>\n<li>Inform the doctor completely and truthfully about the symptoms and possible causes of their illness.<\/li>\n<li>Participate, to the extent possible, in activities to recover their health.<\/li>\n<li>Treat with respect the health, and auxiliary services personnel who participate in the care process.<\/li>\n<li>Inform the health staff, their Treating Physician, the service manager, and the governing body of the Ethics Committee about any violation of the ethical principles in force in their care process.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the appropriate hospital regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Respect and value their doctor\u2019s indications and follow them or inform them about their rejection of the proposed treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In case of difficulties in complying with the doctor&#8217;s prescription, the patient should be informed to request an alternative.<\/li>\n<li>The hospitalized patient should not consult another doctor without their Treating Physician\u2019s consent. If they want a second opinion, they must tell them.<\/li>\n<li>If the patient wants to change their doctor, they should inform their treating physician out of courtesy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"row no-gutters module_titulo_bloque\"> <div class=\"col-12\">  <h3 id=\"compromiso-responsabilidades\">Companion\u2019s responsibilities and commitments<span><\/span><\/h3> <\/div><\/div><div class=\"row no-gutters mb-5 module_responsabilidades lista-negritas \">   <div class=\"col-12 col-md d-flex flex-column justify-content-between\">Companions and family members are an important part of the recovery of our patients, so it is important that they:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute, to the extent possible, to the health staff\u2019s efforts to recover their patients\u2019 health.<\/li>\n<li>Treat with respect the health and auxiliary services personnel who participate in the care process.<\/li>\n<li>Inform the health staff, your Treating Physician, the service manager, or the Ethics Committee about any violation of the ethical principles in force in your care process.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the appropriate hospital regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>   <\/div>   <div class=\"col-12 col-lg-6 mt-4 mt-lg-0 pl-lg-4\">     <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-fluid\" src=\"https:\/\/centromedicoabc.com\/manual-del-paciente\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/img-acompanantes.jpg\">   <\/div><\/div><div class=\"row no-gutters mb-5 recuadro-dark doble-bullet module_compromiso\">   <div class=\"col-12 col-md d-flex flex-column justify-content-between\">     <div class=\"row no-gutters\">        <div class=\"col-12\">            <h5 id=\"reglamento\">Visitor\u2019s commitment<\/h5>        <\/div>    <\/div>Visitors at ABC Medical Center must:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"compromiso\">\n<li>Avoid interfering in the patient care process.<\/li>\n<li>Treat the Institution staff with kindness and respect.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with the appropriate hospital regulations, such as:\n<ul>\n<li>Respect visiting hours.<\/li>\n<li>Not smoking. ABC Medical Center is a 100% tobacco-free Institution, so we ask that you refrain from smoking inside our facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Do not take pictures with any type of device. In compliance with the provisions of the Federal District Civil Liability Privacy Protection Act, the use of video cameras, cameras, or any other means or device to capture images inside ABC Medical Center is strictly forbidden.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Perform Hand Hygiene. To help care for the patient\u2019s health, we ask that you perform hand hygiene before entering and leaving the room, as it has been proven to be the best technique to avoid infections.<\/li>\n<li>No flowers and fruit arrangements as they can carry insects and microorganisms that can cause complications in patient care.<\/li>\n<li>No balloons. There is a chemical and microbiological risk that can endanger the patient\u2019s care. It also acknowledges that patients have the right, with some exceptions provided in the Law, to receive information about their treatment at ABC Medical Center. These Regulations derive from the Hospital Services Provision Contract entered into between the Patient and\/or the Applicant with the Hospital. I. Patient Handbook: The provisions contained in these Regulations are complemented by the Patient Handbook that has been carefully prepared to provide necessary information for the Patient and\/or Applicant, as well as for their visitors, which is available in each of the rooms of ABC Medical Center. II. Hospital Admission: The Patient and\/or Applicant must request the patient&#8217;s hospital admission at ABC Medical Center\u2019s Admissions area For Hospital Admission, the patient, before being informed of the Patient Privacy Notice, must provide the necessary data for registration and show official identification (Voting Credential, Passport, Immigration Form, Professional Certificate). During the process, the Hospital Services Provision Contract, the Letter of Informed Consent, Hospital Admission Authorization, and the Non-Self-medication Letter will be provided for review and signature. ABC Medical Center staff will request: &#8211; A deposit according to the care unit in which you will be treated, as well as a payment guarantee. &#8211; Recent admission order, signed by the Patient&#8217;s Treating Physician. &#8211; If available, the Medical and Hospital Services Coverage Authorization Letter, issued by the Insurance Company or by any other third-party payer with which ABC Medical Center has an agreement. If the Patient is referred by the Emergency Room, according to the Treating Physician\u2019s indications, the Patient and\/or Applicant must inform if the Patient has an accident, major medical, and\/or health insurance policy. Admissions will be registered in the Emergency Room, after the Admissions area opening hours. Rooms are assigned based on ABC Medical Center occupancy. III. Hospital Services Payment: Hospital Services prices and rates will be those that ABC Medical Center has in force at the time they are provided. ABC Medical Center\u2019s Cashier area has a catalog or list of current prices and rates available to the Patient and\/or Applicant. ABC Medical Center does not deliver or recognize budgets. In the case of Service Packages, all services and supplies that are not included in the description or that exceed the limits of said packages must be paid according to the prices and rates of the catalog or current price list of ABC Medical Center. The breakdown of the content of the packages cannot be reflected in the invoices. If during the Patient&#8217;s hospitalization the Insurance Company or third-party payer issues a Coverage Rejection Letter or the amount of coverage does not cover Hospital Services, the Patient and\/or the Applicant must cover all the services or the balance pending directly to ABC Medical Center. The Patient and\/or the Applicant, if applicable, must deal directly with the insurance company in any situation related to acceptance or rejection, since ABC Medical Center is not part of the insured\/insurer relationship. The forms of payment are credit card, debit card, cash, or check as long as it is protected by the company contracted by ABC Medical Center for this purpose and official identification of the person who signs said title is shown. Payment of medical fees are independent of the hospital bill. IV. Hospital discharge: The Treating Physician must indicate the hospital discharge or discharge in the patient&#8217;s medical record. If requesting voluntary discharge, the Patient must sign the ABC Medical Center Voluntary Discharge Note, in accordance with the applicable regulations. Once hospital discharge has been indicated, the Patient and\/or the Applicant must request their account from the Cashier area of the floor where they are hospitalized and pay for it in said Cashier area or in the Emergency Room Cashier if it is after hours. The guarantee deposit will be applied to the payment of the account. To exit ABC Medical Center facilities, the Security guard will ask the Patient for the stamped Exit Pass that the Cashier area gave them when paying the hospital bill. Invoicing for the payment of hospital services is through CFDI in accordance with current tax provisions. After the Cashier\u2019s operation hours, discharge and hospital service payment must be made in the Emergency Room. The room must be vacated no later than 11:00 a.m., otherwise, another day will be charged. V. Patient and\/or Applicant Responsibilities: \u2212 Assume the commitment not to self-medicate. All the materials, medications, and supplies required by the patient, indicated by the Treating Physician or consulting physicians, if applicable, will be provided by ABC Medical Center. \u2212 Treat with respect the administrative, health, and auxiliary services personnel who participate in the care process. \u2212 Make proper use of the facilities and resources made available to them, keeping them in good condition. \u2212 Abide by the instructions of the treating physician, consulting physicians, and health personnel who participate in the care process, to provide quality services and care safety. (ex. Indications for fall prevention, hand washing, and vital signs monitoring, among others.) VI. Responsibilities for the Patient and\/or Applicants, as well as for Visitors and Companions: It is expressly prohibited: &#8211; Smoking or inhaling any tobacco product, electronic cigarettes, or vapes within ABC Medical Center\u2019s facilities, including the parking area. &#8211; Introduce and\/or ingest drugs or alcoholic beverages. &#8211; Make inappropriate use of the facilities and resources that ABC Medical Center makes available to you. &#8211; Take photographs, videos, or recordings of users in general, but in particular of ABC Medical Center staff, or to ABC Medical Center\u2019s facilities and\/or equipment. &#8211; The entry of children under 8 years old to hospitalization areas and 15 years old to critical or intensive care services. &#8211; Introduce medicines, natural fruits, and any other type of food not supplied by ABC Medical Center into the rooms; as well as flower arrangements, furniture, helium balloons, and pets. The Patient and\/or the Applicant, as well as the Visitors and Companions, must assume the other responsibilities indicated in the Patient Handbook. VII. General provisions: \u2212 ABC Medical Center staff is required to wear their institutional badge and said staff is the only one recognized for the provision of hospital services at the Hospital. \u2212 Visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except in critical areas that have restricted hours. Access will not be allowed outside these hours. \u2212 The Medical Center may restrict the number of visitors for medical reasons or when necessary for the proper care of the Patient. \u2212 Only one companion is allowed at night. The companion&#8217;s bed generates an extra charge. \u2212 For the safety and comfort of the Patient, the use of valuables during hospitalization should be avoided. ABC Medical Center will not be responsible for the loss, theft, or damage to the Patient\u2019s and\/or Applicant\u2019s or their visitors or companions\u2019 objects or valuables. \u2212 Each room has an electronic safe deposit box that works with a security code that the Patient and\/or Applicant program for the protection of valuables during their stay at ABC Medical Center. The safe must be left open when vacating the room. \u2212 Medical reports during the patient&#8217;s hospitalization can only be issued by the Treating Physician. \u2212 There are mailboxes in different areas of the hospital to submit suggestions, comments, or complaints regarding the services received at ABC Medical Center, or they can be delivered directly to the Customer Service area. \u2212 It is strictly forbidden for ABC Medical Center staff to provide copies of the notes that make up the medical record.
