Mexico City is located in a seismic zone, so to increase patient safety, it is essential to know what to do in the event of an earthquake (or tremor). Below are actions to follow in the room.
What to do in case of an earthquake?
1. Put the brake on the bed and raise the rails.
2. Cover the patient's head and torso with cushions and bedding.
3. Lower the blinds in the room.
4. Remain in a safety zone until the end of the earthquake.
5. Follow the directions.
6. Once the earthquake is over, Nursing staff will visit the room to verify that everything is okay.
1. Immediately move away from objects that could fall or break (windows, mirrors, television, etc.).

Carrying firearms is not allowed at the ABC Medical Center.
