What it's for:

Celtis occidentalis allergy diagnosis. Definition of the allergen responsible for causing signs and symptoms. Identifying allergens: - Responsible for allergic disease and/or anaphylactic shock. - To confirm sensitization before starting immunotherapy. - Research the specificity of allergic reactions to insect venom allergens, drugs, or chemical allergens. IgE antibody testing is not useful in patients previously treated with immunotherapy to determine if residual clinical sensitivity exists, or in patients in whom medical treatment does not depend on allergen specificity identification.
