For admission to ABC Medical Center, the following should be considered:



Admission with scheduled surgery or for medical treatment

When you are admitted to the ABC Medical Center you will present the original of the following:

  • Surgery or treatment scheduling authorization letter.
  • Id card issued by the insurance company.
  • Official photo ID.
  • Security deposit for the payment of personal expenses, deductibles, coinsurance and any other item not covered by the insurance company.
  • A copy of the scheduling authorization letter must be given to your physician or at the physician payment window.

Emergency Room admission and hospital report

When being admitted to the ABC Medical Center through the Emergency area, with
preceding official photo ID, and in the event that the insured or beneficiary does not remain for more than 24 hours, the ABC Medical Center will provide the service and the insured or beneficiary will have the obligation to pay the entire account directly to ABC Medical Center, unless the insurance company is responsible for payment through a letter of authorization, applying the requirements mentioned below:
- If the insured or beneficiary stays more than 24 hours in the Emergency area of the ABC Medical Center, and requires hospitalization, he/she will present his/her ID issued by the insurer and official photo ID, providing all the information requested, aswell as a security deposit.
- The ABC Medical Center will call the insured or beneficiary’s insurance company and will wait for a period of 24 hours for the response thereof, which will be made known through an authorization or rejection letter.
- When the insured or beneficiary fails to submit any of the above documents or no response is received from the insurance company within the 24-hour period, ABC Medical Center will provide the service and the insured or beneficiary will be responsible for paying the entire bill directly to ABC Medical Center, unless the authorization letter is submitted to ABC Medical Center prior to discharge.

Security Deposit

When being admitted to the ABC Medical Center, and in compliance with the policies of the insured or their beneficiaries, a security deposit will be requested, either by credit card, check or cash, in order to ensure the payment of personal expenses and services not included or not covered by the insurance company such as: deductibles, coinsurance, difference in room cost, non-covered ailments, etc.

Medical Fees

In the event that the insured or beneficiary chooses a physician who does not belong to the network, it is important to consider that the company will pay him according to the schedule of medical fees of the plan that was taken out and the deductible and co-insurance agreed to in his policy will be applied.

It may happen that the physician may charge the difference in fees, or that the payment of these fees is sometimes made through reimbursement.

If you are treated by network physicians, medical fees will be covered in accordance with the agreement and there will be a reduction or elimination of the deductible and coinsurance, which will depend on the conditions in your policy, so it is suggested that you read them carefully.

Information about your medical expense policy and hospital medical agreement

If during your stay at the ABC Medical Center you require more information or an additional service related to your insurance, we suggest that you request this directly from your insurance company, which must inform you to your full satisfaction of the conditions of the
hospital medical agreement, as well as the payment of the deductible and coinsurance indicated in your policy and all those services not included or covered by it.

Discharge Procedure

It is recommended that 24 hours before paying your bill, you verify by telephone in the corresponding admission cubicle and at the physician payment window, that the hospital has the duly authorized scheduled surgery letter or authorization letter and the amounts to be paid for the item.
