We recommend the following:
- Consume probiotics like yogurt and kefir.
- Eat foods high in fiber (vegetables) in your three main meals.
- Consume vitamins that help your immune system.
- Vitamins such as A, C, D, and Zinc have been found to have a beneficial effect in the correct doses.
- Stay well hydrated (two liters of fluids per day).
- Consume one or two servings of fruit per day along with legumes and whole grains.
- Reduce your consumption of alcohol and processed foods.
- Eat four to six meals a day.
- Consume nuts, seeds, and extra virgin olive oil. Avoid animal source fats (lard or butter).
- Reduce the consumption of carbohydrates (flour), especially those of slow absorption.
- Reduce salt and sugar consumption.
- Enjoy each meal, eat slowly, savor each food.
Although there is no evidence that the virus can be transmitted through food, follow these prevention measures:
- Cook food properly.
- Keep kitchen surfaces clean and disinfected, as well as utensils.
- Perform hand hygiene on an ongoing basis.
Take care of your mental health and try not to stress yourself, exercise three times a week for 20 to 30 minutes, and sleep eight hours, all this will help keep your immune system healthy.
