Intra-hospital Rehabilitation

Intensive
Rehabilitation

Provides an intensive rehabilitation program in a hospital environment to benefit patients who, due to the complexity of their rehabilitation, specialized medical care and nursing needs, require this type of program and who will potentially benefit from a hospital stay in which will be approached by a multidisciplinary work team with the aim of promoting the highest degree of independence, improving the functional and/or residual capacity of each patient, reintegrating them into their family and social environment in the shortest possible time.

A basic difference between the intensive program and other rehabilitation services is the interdisciplinary approach, the intensity of the program, and the high level of medical supervision.

Antigravity treadmill

Antigravity treadmill

ABC Medical Center’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation presents the new antigravity treadmill, a state-of-the-art equipment that uses NASA technology, which uses air to reduce the weight load on the joints. Improve your mobility without pain!

What is the ABC rehabilitation program?

  • The duration of the program is determined according to the needs of each patient and can last between one and four weeks on average.
  • The patient performs at least three therapy sessions seven days a week under the approach of a multidisciplinary team that meets weekly where evolution is assessed, communicated and worked in a coordinated way to achieve the proposed rehabilitation goals.
  • Rehabilitation continues until the patient knows what to do independently, how to do it, and is confident to take care of himself from then on and into the future.
  • We aim to achieve:
  • That the patient improves his functional capacity
  • Promote the highest degree of independence
  • Train caregivers or family members
  • The safe return of our patients home
  • That they continue with the program on an outpatient basis

Intra-hospital Rehabilitation

Hospital
Rehabilitation.

Attention is provided to hospitalized patients that do not require an intensive program (less than 3 therapy sessions a day and a single discipline) and where Rehabilitation is helpful during their hospital stay.

This care is received in any service such as intensive therapy, orthopedics, neurology, internal medicine, etc., and the objective is to prevent complications from appearing in the patient during their hospital stay such as prolonged rest syndrome (muscle weakness, contractures, range of motion limitation, pressure ulcers, etc.), and patients who do not meet the criteria for admission to the Intensive Rehabilitation program.
