The goal is to limit exposure as much as possible and avoid being a source of infection without knowing it. It is important to remember that a person can be infected, but not show signs of illness. In these cases, the virus is equally transmissible.

If you have to visit a relative, it is necessary to take your temperature beforehand and, if you have signs of a fever, cancel the visit. If not, you can go following these prevention measures:

    • Upon arrival, perform hand hygiene and dry them with disposable paper.
    • Avoid physical contact (greeting with a kiss, hugging, and shaking hands), keeping a safe distance of 1.5 meters.
  • Avoid being in the same room with more than three people.
  • Look for open and ventilated places.
  • Keep your nails short and do not wear rings, bracelets, watches, and other accessories.
  • Older people should not receive visits at home from people with respiratory infections of any kind.
  • At the end of the visit, wash your hands again with soap and water.
  • Disinfect all frequently touched surfaces before and after visits.

Because COVID-19 spreads from person to person, reducing the ways people come into close contact with others is essential to lower the chances of infection.
