Preparación previa / Indicaciones

The phospholipid antibody test is indicated in the following clinical situations:
– Unexplained arterial or venous thrombosis.
– History of near-miss is defined as 1 or more deaths of a morphologically normal fetus beyond 10 weeks gestation, 1 or more preterm births before 34 weeks’ gestation caused by severe preeclampsia or placental insufficiency, or 3 or more unexplained consecutive spontaneous abortions before the tenth week of gestation without identifying maternal hormonal or anatomical causes, or maternal or paternal chromosomal causes.
– Presence of an unexplained cutaneous circulatory disturbance, eg, libido reticularis or pyoderma gangrenosum.
– Presence of a systemic rheumatic disease, especially lupus erythematosus.
– Unexplained thrombocytopenia or hemolytic anemia.
– Possible nonbacterial, thrombotic endocarditis.
