Preventive Treatments

Dental cleaning

It is one of the simplest treatments and its purpose is to eliminate bacterial plaque and accumulated tartar on the teeth, the gum line, and the interdental spaces.

Fluorine application

It is a treatment for teeth that can help prevent cavities, reduce them, or prevent them from getting worse.

Pit and fissure sealants

Dental sealants are a plastic material that is placed on the chewing (occlusion) surface of permanent posterior teeth, molars, and premolars to help protect against acids and bacteria that contribute to tooth decay.

Corrective Treatments

Resins
It is a treatment that can only be performed by a dental surgeon since it is the specialist in charge of repairing a damaged tooth. It consists of cleaning all the cavities in the tooth, so that it does not continue and affect the nerve of said tooth, and then sealing it with a material called dental composite and it hardens quickly by applying a laser beam.

Extractions
It is the terminal procedure of a tooth and should not be taken as the first-choice treatment, currently there are several alternatives to preserve teeth longer.

Inlays
It is a type of restoration that is performed inside the mouth, in the posterior or anterior sector. It consists of a coating whose function is to preserve the healthy structure that remains of a tooth. It is cemented to the tooth to replace the structure lost due to cavities, fracture, or wear. They are performed in a laboratory using working models of the patient’s mouth.

Aesthetic total crowns
Are those that are supported by the natural teeth. In case of only needing to cover a specific tooth, a crown or cover is made. For this, it is necessary to carve or wear the tooth so that the cover or crown can later fit.

Fixed and removable prostheses
Fixed and Removable Prostheses allow the replacement of teeth and other oral structures, with the restoration of aesthetic, phonetic and chewing functions.
Oral prostheses are devices that allow the replacement of teeth and other oral structures, such as gums and bone, with the restoration of aesthetic, phonetic and chewing functions.

Root canals
Root canal is one of the best-known dental treatments, it is focused on the extraction of the dental pulp, filling and sealing it, placing an elongated and thick device inside the tooth.
Occlusal guard
Bruxism is a disorder characterized by the habit of grinding teeth frequently, either voluntarily or involuntarily, during the day or night. This has serious consequences for the jaw and teeth, but these damages can be stopped by using a splint or occlusal guard.
Everyday cases of bruxism increase in the world and is not age related, since it can affect both children and adults.

Periapical X-ray

A periapical X-ray before, during, and after treatment is essential. They constitute an auxiliary method of diagnosis or complementary test and are of special interest for the diagnosis of periapical pathology. Based on this, a certain diagnosis cannot be made solely from X-rays. However, these are essential in endodontics for the treatment of root canals.

Orthopantomography

Panoramic radiography, also called orthopantomography, is a radiological technique with which a single general image of the teeth, maxilla, and jaw is obtained through X-ray equipment. Today this type of X-ray is digital, which reduces the radiation dose received by the patient. Orthopantomography is used routinely in dentistry. Panoramic X-rays are also performed to check for impacted wisdom teeth or to check for possible jaw problems.
