In Preventive Medicine, we only vaccinate patients aged 18 years and older.
Contraindication: Hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients included in the vaccine or to any component that may be present in trace amounts, such as egg (ovalbumin, chicken proteins), neomycin, formaldehyde, and octoxinol-9, hydrocortisone.
Vaccination should be delayed in cases of moderate or severe febrile illness or acute infection.
What are the most frequent adverse reactions?
Most reactions occur within the first 3 days after vaccination, resolving spontaneously between day 1 and 3 after onset. The intensity of these reactions is mild. The most frequently reported adverse reaction after vaccination, across all populations, is pain and swelling at the injection site.
The other most frequent adverse reactions after vaccination are:
- In adults: headache, myalgia (muscle pain), and general malaise.
- In the elderly: headache and myalgia (muscle pain).
